We noticed at PPM Works some recent changes to the licensing model for Project Online. For instance, Project Lite is now Project Online EssentialsProject Pro for Office 365, Project Online with Project Pro Office 365, and Project Online have been retired.

Note the 3 new licenses now available: Project Online Essentials, Project Online Professional, and Project Online Premium.

We had some questions regarding the difference between Resource Management and Enterprise Resource Management. Microsoft has assured us that functionality and access have not changed. Project Managers still have access to Resource Center.

Premium is for enterprise portfolio analysis, workflow approvals, and reporting needs.

Professional is for formal Project Managers.

Essential is for all other team members and stakeholders.
