Timesheet and Non-Billable Time
Have you ever been working on a project and want to show non-billable time? By now you know that you can easily do this with Microsoft Project Online or Project Server’s PWA using the timesheet.
When I click on the Actual Non-Billable row for this particular task I cannot enter time. Why not?
First, you need to have Non-Billable selected for your timesheet.
On the Options tab select the Non-Billable option and you will see the Actual Non-Billable row for all projects. Note You will not be able to enter non-billable time for Administrative tasks or Manually Scheduled tasks
If you come across a project task that does not let you enter in Non-Billable time in your timesheet make sure that the task has a task mode of Automatic vs Manual and that the project is scheduled.
There you go folks. Hope this little quick ‘gotcha’ serves you and your teams well.
