Alerts and Reminders in Project Online and Project Server

As a Project Manager, you may want to get updates when a task changes in Project Server or Project Online. As long as you are using emails within the system you can get notifications and/or alerts and your company has configured the SMTP in Central Admin.

To set this up you will do the following steps.

  • Navigate to Server Settings.
  • Under Personal Settings, click Manage My Alerts and Reminders.

  • Select the items you want to get notifications on.

  • Click Save.

As a resource Manager, you can also Manage your resources alerts and reminders. You would click on Manage My Resources Alerts and Reminders in Server Settings, and follow the steps listed above.
