Hardware, Disk and Network Specifications

Application Disk Space 300 GB Minimum Includes space for backup
Disk Attachment DAS or SAN
Isolated Disks If separate physical hard disks are possible,   the following should by isolated in order of preference:

  •   SQL Server tempdb(s)
  •   SQL Server transaction logs
  •   Project Server / SharePoint Content databases
  •   SQL Server Backups
Network Location In close proximity to other Farm Servers, preferably on the same   switch
Web/Application Server
Processor 64-bit, 4-cores, 2.5 GHz minimum per core
Memory 8 GB Minimum
OS Disk Space 50 GB Minimum
Application Disk Space 30 GB Minimum
Disk Attachment Local, DAS or SAN
Network Location In close proximity to other Farm Servers, preferably on the same switch
