Earned Value and Baselines – Microsoft Project 2013
So you want to learn about or use Earned Value and Microsoft Project. Where do you start? The 1st place is here.
What you need to know
- You must have your current baseline set on your Project
- Your Resources must have rates (even if you have $1/hr for the standard rate)
- You have to have some progress (actuals) on your project
- You need to understand a little bit about Earned Value
I recently did a session on this and here are my tips. Thanks to Laith Adel’s MPUG article: http://www.mpug.com/articles/earned-value-demystified/ – I was able to reuse his examples.
Thanks. Got questions, ask us.
