Booking Type: Committed versus Proposed Resources

When a resource is not able to see the project, check their booking type. The reason could be because the are proposed versus committed. As a Project Manager, if one of my resources contacts me and says they are not able to see their task, then I will verify that I published the schedule, and verify the are Committed and not proposed.

For me, I use Project Professional for almost everything when it comes to my schedules.

So what are the steps you ask?

Steps:

  • Open up your project schedule.
  • Click the Resource Tab

  • Click Add Resource, and select Build Team From Enterprise.

  • Verify the Booking type says Committed.
    • If it says Proposed, then change it to committed.
